Alphonso

- Smooth flesh. Intense reddish-orange colour
- Intensely sweet and flavoured
- Virtually without fibre
- Smooth pale to deep orange peel (deepening with ripening)
- Originally from Western India
- Main production in Maharashtra and Gujarat
- Highest quality in Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Raigad and Thane districts
- Harvested from April to early July (India)
Chau(n)sa
- #3
- Exceptionally sweet
- Soft, succulent flesh
- Minimum of fibre
- Thin, pale, matt yellow peel (wrinkly and slightly deeper when ripe)
- Originally from the Rahim Yar Khan and Multan districts of Punjab in Pakistan
- Harvested from early July to early September (Pakistan)
